ZipPass is a free password recovery tool for Zip archives.
Due to the design of zip archives the only way to retrieving a password is "trying", ie a brute-force attack. ZipPass generates passwords and tests them with the archives. Since every possible combination of character can serve as a password, the search especially for long passwords will take a long time. In order to accelerate this search, ZipPass uses a word list (dictionary) with more than 200000 common phrases, respectively. around 1 billion phrases (large dictionary).
